In a momentous gathering of Kishi indigenes, Hon. Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed, popularly known as Hon. Polam, delivered a heartfelt address at the Kishi Progressive Union (KPU) interactive session held in Abuja. The event marked a pivotal occasion in the representation of Irepo, Orelope, and Olorunsogo Federal constituency, as Hon. Polam articulated his vision for the region’s future.
During his address, Hon. Polam reiterated his unwavering commitment to representing the interests of Irepo, Orelope, and Olorunsogo Federal constituency. He assured attendees of his steadfast dedication to fairness in the distribution of opportunities and empowerment initiatives, ensuring that every constituent has a chance to prosper.
Furthermore, Hon. Polam called upon Kishi indigenes working in various Federal government offices in Abuja to become vital conduits for valuable information. He encouraged them to relay details about job openings, scholarships, training programs, and more to his office. To facilitate efficient communication, he has appointed four dedicated Legislative Aides from each local government within his constituency.
In addition to his commitment, the Honorable Member shared insights into ongoing initiatives in education, healthcare, agriculture, FERMA (Federal Roads Maintenance Agency), ecology, and rural development. These programs are strategically designed to address pressing needs and will be unveiled as results become evident.
Moreover, Hon. Polam reaffirmed his campaign commitments, which encompass creating job opportunities, empowering constituents, advancing infrastructure, and providing diligent legislative oversight.
Addressing a pressing concern, he discussed his advocacy efforts regarding the rehabilitation of the road linking Kishi to Igboho, a project that has been awarded since 2014. He expressed concern over the project’s prolonged neglect and assured attendees that he had submitted a petition to the National Assembly. This petition has been referred to the House Committee on FERMA, and he pledged to see the project through to completion during his tenure.
Furthermore, Hon. Polam celebrated his successful facilitation of six job opportunities through the Federal Road Safety Commission and emphasized his commitment to creating more employment opportunities. He encouraged Kishi indigenes in government offices to collaborate in sharing job openings and pertinent information.
Additionally, he announced the upcoming launch of the first empowerment program, which will benefit over six hundred constituents. He underscored his unwavering commitment to fairness in the distribution process. Hon. Polam also highlighted his efforts to improve access to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for constituents and his pursuit of establishing an NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) office within the constituency.
